Violet Shuyue Xu is a photographer living in Shanghai. She achieved a Bachelor’s degree in urban forestry at the University of British Columbia. She then finished her Master of Arts degree in photography at the Royal College of Art. The multicultural experience guides her to explore cultures and art representations in different societies. She seeks to create works that reflect social issues based on her own personal experience. She is keen on equity, intersectionality, urban development and human-nature relationships.
